SALT LAKE CITY -- We've all likely had our fair share of flinging irritable avian creatures at pigs with hats, hearts and costumes.

A post on the official Rovio blog indicates that the game will contain "innovative new gameplay, but with some of the familiar Angry Birds elements that fans already know and love -- plus some surprises! "
Along with launching the game on March 22, Rovio plans on Angry Birds Space becoming the first mobile game to simultaneously launch in mobile gaming, animation, retail and publishing. Rovio's role as an "integrated entertainment company" seems to be heading on the right track by keeping everything in-house.
Rovio has also announced partnerships with NASA and National Geographic as part of the launch.
A teaser trailer is up on Rovio's YouTube page, which does little other than confirm the game's existence. Further details will be released in early March. For now, speculation has arisen as far as what new mechanics will be implemented in the game, including rumors of anti-gravity levels and new super-powered birds.
