The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) will close a section of U.S. 6, and this could have a major effect on travelers in and out of eastern Utah.

Highway 6 through Spanish Fork Canyon will close from 10:00 tonight until 6:00 tomorrow morning.

The closure is necessary so crews can repair the surface of a bridge near Tucker.

**Recommended detours:**
**1.**Semi trucks and travelers on westbound I-70 should stay on I-70 and take U.S. 50 north at Salina to Scipio to access northbound I-15.
**2.**Semi trucks and travelers southbound on I-15 should stay on I-15 and take U.S. 50 south of Scipio and connect with I-70.
**3.**Travelers on U.S. 6 out of Price should take U.S. 191 east to Duchesne and then U.S. 40 west to Heber.
**4.** Motorist traveling south on U.S. 6 and needing to go to Price should take U.S. 89 south at Thistle.
