South Weber Fire Department tackle grass fire that damaged home

SALT LAKE CITY — A grass fire that spread to a residence in South Weber on Saturday has successfully been extinguished. According to the South Weber City Fire Department, the fire started early Saturday afternoon near Deer Run Drive, spreading to a residential structure in the area. Travis Nicholson with the South Weber City Fire Department said the blaze was extinguished shortly after 1 p.m. According to the South Weber City Fire Department, "crews have cleared and investigators are on scene waiting for a remediation company to assist the home owner."
