Randall Jeppesen reporting The Boy Scouts of America is now making it part of its requirements for scouts to learn how to confront a bully.
The Boy Scout handbook has added sections devoted to bullies, or how to confront them. It even talks about online cyber-bullying.
"You're describing things to avoid doing on the Internet that might lead to cyber-bullying, and there's quite a discussion on that too," explained Kay Godfrey, spokesman for Utah Scouting.
Godfrey says this is part of the Boy Scouts' Bill of Rights, designed to protect the youth.
Scouts will be required to go over a bullying section with a scout leader before they can reach the beginner rank of tenderfoot.
