SALT LAKE CITY — A pilot was injured after a small ultralight aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff from the Escalante Municipal Airport, three miles outside Escalante, Utah. The pilot was transported via Classic Air Medical to the St. George Regional Hospital to be treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to Garfield County Sheriff Wade Matthews.
