SALT LAKE CITY — Police found the two teens who are persons of interest in the fatal stabbing of a California woman in Washington City. The Washington City Police Department confirmed on Thursday that the teens were found in Los Angeles County, California, on Wednesday night at approximately 9:00 p.m. The police department said they were unharmed. On Wednesday afternoon, Lt. Kory Klotz with the Washington City Police Department said the two teens were with the 47-year-old California woman as they were visiting Utah from March 20 to March 23. Klotz said investigators found the rental car the three were using on Sunday morning at approximately 10 a.m. MDT in California. They were also last seen in Bellflower, California, and are still believed to be in that area. Klotz said there were no signs of forced entry into the vacation home the three women were staying in. According to police, the teens are not suspects in the woman's death. Investigators want to interview the two people to understand what happened. On Sunday, police were called to the 1200 block of North Bello Aly, when the vacation home cleaners found the woman on the floor with multiple stab wounds. She was confirmed dead at the scene. Klotz said the woman and the two teens stayed inside the home while visiting national parks in Utah and Arizona. Washington City police said federal and California law enforcement were helping to search for the teens. Authorities have not identified the killed California woman as of Wednesday.
Editor's Note: Since the teens were found and are juveniles, KSL TV removed all mentions of their identity.
