New numbers show flu season not over yet

Mary Richards reporting New numbers are out this morning on the flu in Utah, and it doesn't look like the season will end anytime soon.

Close to 300 Utahns have now been hospitalized with the flu. That's up from 176 at this same time last year.

State epidemiologist Dr. Robert Rolfs says this shows by no means should people let down their guard. "Washing their hands, covering their cough, not giving it to other people, trying not to get it," he suggested.

This week's report has fewer cases than last week's count, but health officials say that still doesn't mean this season is leveling off. In fact, cases could spike again.

If you are interested in getting a flu shot, they are still available. In fact, Intermountain Healthcare (IHC) is offering them for free at several ExpressCare clinics. The clinics are listed below.
