BRIGHAM CITY, Utah (AP) -- A Brigham City advanced weapon and space systems company has received a big production boost from NASA.
ATK Launch Systems was awarded $812.5 million to continue production of reusable rocket motors, which the administration uses on its space shuttles.
Company president Ron Dittemore says that extends the contract between the two organizations through 2010, when the shuttle is due to be retired. After that, Dittemore says, ATK will continue to produce boosters for NASA's future projects.
Work will be performed at ATK sites in Brigham City and Clearfield, as well as NASA centers in Alabama and Florida.
