(KSL News) The Utah Department of Environmental Quality issued a red alert for air quality in Salt Lake, Davis, Weber, and Utah counties today.
Most of the haze that filled the air along the Wasatch Front was due to blowing dust from the west desert and some from the Milford Flats fire area.
A cold front is moving in for Sunday. It may not produce a lot of precipitation, and what moisture comes down likely will be very dirty. But it also should help clear the air.
