NEW YORK — Six months after announcing her departure from "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," Whitney Leavitt is returning to reality television with her own Hulu series.

After starring in the first five seasons of the series, Leavitt revealed her exit in May during her final Broadway performance as Roxie Hart in "Chicago."

In the months since, Leavitt has teased a possible reality series of her own, hinting at a return to unscripted television in several interviews.

I couldn't be more grateful. I feel like I'm just now on the ladder, and I'm just going to slowly start climbing it.

–Whitney Leavitt

She confirmed the news Wednesday with an Instagram video packed with screenshots of fans speculating about Leavitt developing her own series. Alongside the clip, she shared a cryptic message: "See you soon."

Hulu has greenlit the untitled series centered around Leavitt, who will executive produce alongside her husband, Connor Leavitt, through their production company, Leavitt Media House. Jeff Jenkins Productions, the company behind "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," will also produce the series.

The series will follow "firebrand Whitney Leavitt and her family as they navigate her newfound fame and career ambitions while always putting family first," per Deadline.

No release date has been announced.

Since her breakout on "The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives," Leavitt has significantly diversified her career both within and beyond reality television, becoming one of the show's most talked-about personalities.

In 2025, Leavitt competed on Season 34 of "Dancing With the Stars," finishing in the semifinals with her professional partner Mark Ballas. Her experience on the competition series helped pave the way for her Broadway debut in "Chicago."

Following her record-breaking run in "Chicago," which generated the production's highest-grossing single week, Leavitt will return to Broadway in December for a six-week run as Sandra Dee in the jukebox musical "Just In Time."

She has also been announced as a member of the celebrity cast on the next season of "Traitors" and is set to make her film debut in Netflix's holiday romantic comedy, "All For Christmas."

"This is just the beginning," Leavitt told The Hollywood Reporter in March, reflecting on her expanding career.

"It feels like this is just the beginning of something that I've wanted to do and I've been trying to do for years," she continued. "I couldn't be more grateful. I feel like I'm just now on the ladder, and I'm just going to slowly start climbing it."
