SALT LAKE CITY -- The U.S. Department of Defense says a Utah Marine has been killed in Afghanistan.
The department notified media outlets late Tuesday night that Lance Corporal Carlos Aragon, of Orem, died March 1 while supporting combat operations in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.
The 19-year-old was part of the 4th Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion of the 4th Marine Division.
