(KSL News) -- Midvale and Sandy police are investigating a wreck tonight that may have been the result of racing on a city street.
Officers say a 17 or 18-year old driver in the car was headed north on State Street at about 8300 South. The driver was going really fast when he swerved and hit a parked car.
The driver was taken by helicopter to the hospital, where he died. Officers say there were reports of other cars revving engines farther down the street prior to the wreck.
