(KSL News) -- The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed to Eyewitness News that the wreckage of a small plane has been found in southern Utah.
The single-engine Cessna was spotted south of Escalante. Rescue teams at the scene report one person, the pilot, was on board and was killed.
The plane left Mesa, Arizona Tuesday for Provo.
The victim's name hasn't been released and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
