SALT LAKE CITY — The first round of our restaurant bracket has concluded and there were some very clear favorites to start out. But can that momentum continue into the round of 32?

Is it Training Table's to lose?

One of my personal favorites, Doug & Emmy's, was eliminated from the first round. It was the perfect breakfast destination any time of the day during my high school years, and their scones were to die for if you could stomach them after their hearty breakfast portions.

I need this all again!

The restaurant that beat out one of my favorites was Eat-A-Burger, which I was informed recently that after closing they later re-opened as a food truck; it is in service today. So while the brick-and-mortar restaurant is no longer around, there is a food truck option.

Did your favorites advance? Personally, I'm really intrigued to see who comes out on top of the Training Table-Blue Plate Diner matchup. It's unfortunate the randomizer paired these two in a second-round meeting, but only one can win in the end anyway.

As always, vote below, and then share your favorite memories in the comments. Voting will close at the end of the day.
