PARK CITY — Prosecutors will present more evidence on Thursday in their case against a Kamas mom, real estate agent and children's book author charged with killing her husband.
Over the last two weeks, the 12 jurors have heard from Eric Richins' family members, individuals who say they helped Kouri Richins obtain drugs, first responders and financial experts.
On Wednesday, Kouri Richins' boyfriend at the time her husband died testified about conversations he had with her. When she asked him shortly after her husband died if he had ever killed anyone while serving in the armed forces, he said the question did not seem unusual. He only spoke with investigators about that conversation after he heard she had been arrested.
Richins, 35, is charged with aggravated murder and attempted aggravated murder, first-degree felonies, two counts of insurance fraud, a second-degree felony, and forgery, a third-degree felony. She also has a separate case with additional financial charges that this jury will not consider.
Thursday, the ninth day of the trial, is also the final trial day of this week. Jurors will return on Monday as the trial continues.
