MIDVALE — A woman killed in what police are calling a brutal attack at a Midvale massage business has been identified.
But very little additional information about the death of 45-year-old Yuping Jiao has been released, as of Monday.
Police were called to A+ Massage, 7444 S. State, about 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, where they found the body of Jiao, whom police say is the victim of a "brutal and tragic homicide."
Police have not said what Jiao's connection to the massage parlor may be. But an email address with Jiao's name is listed as the point of contact on the business' website. Jiao had been a licensed massage therapist in Utah since 2021, according to the Utah Division of Professional Licensing.
No arrests have been made as of Monday. Police are asking for anyone with information about the attack to call them at 801-840-4000.
