SALT LAKE CITY — Police are searching for a driver who hit and killed a 44-year-old woman in Salt Lake City Friday night.

Just before 8:30 p.m., Vanessa David was crossing Redwood Road at the Interstate 80 overpass near 200 South when she was hit and killed by a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle continued north after hitting her, police said.

No arrests have been made and Salt Lake police are urging anyone with information about the crash to call 911. Police do not have a vehicle description, but believe there may be significant damage to the vehicle that hit the woman.
