WEST JORDAN — Police are searching for a suspect who shot and injured a man in a West Jordan neighborhood Tuesday afternoon.
West Jordan police received reports of shots fired just before 3 p.m. near Alabama Avenue and Jordan Village Road. Sgt. Kendall Holt said while officers were en route to the scene, they learned a man had been shot at least once.
The man, whose identity has not been released, was taken to a local hospital and is in stable condition, Holt said.
Police are looking for one outstanding suspect who they believe was involved in the shooting that occurred in front of a home. The area is closed while police process the scene and talk to witnesses.
Holt said investigators are working to determine what led to the shooting and whether there were any other individuals involved in the incident.
