CLEARFIELD, Pa. — Pennsylvania state police have identified a Utah woman found dead near westbound I-80 in the Keystone State's Clearfield County earlier this month.
The body was found in the woods near the highway off-ramp just east of Clearfield on May 2. An autopsy was performed May 3, and police estimated the woman was between 25 and 30 years old.
Police identified the woman as Ivana Meandzija from Utah on Monday.
"The family has been notified prior to this release and the cause of death is still under investigation," Pennsylvania state police spokesman Miles Snyder told KSL NewsRadio.
He said investigators don't know where in Utah Meandzija is from.
In an initial press release, police asked anyone in the area between April 29 and May 2 to call the Clearfield police station at 814-857-3800 with any information.
