DRAPER — A 20-year-old man was killed in a crash on northbound Interstate 15 on Thursday.

About 5:50 a.m., a Subaru WRX was taking the off-ramp at 11400 South "when it drifted into the center gore area and struck the crash cushion," according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

The driver, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man's identity has not been released. What caused the car to drift into the barrier was still being investigated Thursday.

The off-ramp was closed for three hours was UHP troopers investigated the crash.
