SALT LAKE CITY — It was a banner weekend for the University of Utah football team.
After falling to UCLA on the road the week prior, Utah erased a 14-0 deficit and rallied to beat USC 43-42 with a successful 2-point conversion by quarterback Cameron Rising. It made for an electric environment at Rice-Eccles Stadium in the Trojans' final appearance in the stadium before its eventual transition to the Big Ten.
Fans in the stadium rushed the field in excitement to celebrate a top-10 win. It all lead to three Utah fans climbing the leaderboard and taking the top three prizes for Week 7 games. Utah fan Lauren Erickson finished at the top of the leaderboard with 190 points, followed by Seth Homer (178 points) and Dave Gore (169 points).
For the week, Utah fans had the highest average score for games at 16.5, followed by Utah State fans at 14 and BYU fans coming in at 12.8. For the season, Cougars fans remain in the lead with and average score of 20.7, but Utah fans have closed the gap and now average 20.1 points, followed by Utah State's 19.8 points.
This week's first-, second- and third-place winners will get a $100, $70 and $30 Visa gift card, respectively, courtesy of Goldenwest Credit Union. The overall winners of Pick'em will receive a $500 gift card for first place, a $250 gift card for second place and a $100 gift card for third place.
