SALT LAKE CITY — Picking games each week can be a challenging act, especially when one of the teams — we're looking at you Utah State — dropped a game that 98% of all pickers expected to go in favor of the home team.
But that's what makes KSL.com College Football Pick'em and the sport we love to watch so entertaining.
For two BYU fans and one Utah fan, it was an even better week as the trio led the leaderboard for Week 2 games. BYU fan John Doe (is that his real name?) led the way with 217 points, followed by fellow BYU fan Larry Surtess (198) and Utah fan Russ Marchant (192).
BYU fans also led the way with the highest average points earned in Pick'em with 21.7, followed by Utah State fans at 17.6 (yes, even with their team losing), and Utah at 17.2 (betting against your rival when they win doesn't help bring up the average). For the season, BYU remains on top with 22.3 points, following by Utah State (18.8) and Utah (18.3).
This week's first-, second- and third-place winners will get a $100, $70 and $30 Visa gift card, respectively, courtesy of Goldenwest Credit Union. The overall winners of Pick'em will receive a $500 gift card for first place, a $250 gift card for second place and a $100 gift card for third place.
