BIG WATER, Kane County — A man died and another man was flown to a hospital with injuries after a crash on U.S. 89 in Kane County, troopers said.
About 9:30 p.m. Monday, a Dodge Ram pickup truck was driving west on U.S. 89, west of the town of Big Water, when it drifted off the road to the right and overturned, the Utah Highway Patrol said.
The driver, 38, was ejected and sustained fatal injuries. A 48-year-old passenger was flown to an area hospital with "multiple injuries," troopers said, but they did not say the extent of the injuries.
Neither were wearing seat belts at the time of the crash, troopers said, and impairment is being investigated as a factor.
