SALT LAKE CITY — A criminal case against "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" star Mary Martha Cosby, accusing her of harboring a minor, was dismissed last week after prosecutors determined there was not enough evidence to take the case to trial.

The charges, filed in May 2021, accused Cosby of providing shelter to a runaway and contributing to the delinquency of a minor, class B misdemeanors.

Cosby pleaded not guilty to the charges in June 2021. Trial dates were set in the case multiple times over the last year, but the jury trial was canceled each time.

Salt Lake City prosecutor Madison Barr filed a motion on Sept. 1 asking the court to drop the case due to "evidentiary concerns" and the court dismissed the case on Sept. 7.

Cosby's son, Robert Cosby, was also charged with the same crimes but his case was dismissed in February due to witness issues.

Stephen McCaughey, Cosby's attorney, said she is happy with the outcome.

Another "Real Housewives of Salt Lake City" star, Jen Shah, is facing criminal charges of her own. Shah pleaded guilty in federal court to wire fraud and will be sentenced in November.
