SALT LAKE CITY — School's almost out (already out for some), summer is around the corner, and the Utah High School Activities Association handed out the final championship trophy of the 2021-22 school year Saturday afternoon at UCCU Ballpark in Orem.

That makes 44 state champions crowned by the UHSAA. That number will grow soon, with the UHSAA sanctioning boys volleyball beginning with the 2023-24 academic year, to put another spring sport to the calendar.

In all, the leading sponsor of high school athletics in Utah awarded 130 titles across the state's six classifications, with 70 different schools represented from 21 different regions during the past school year.

Lone Peak and Ridgeline led all classifications with seven championships apiece, including the Knights' most recent spring titles in girls track and field and golf in 6A and the Riverhawks' 4A championships in softball and boys tennis.

Olympus, Skyline, Panguitch and American Fork each won four titles apiece, while Riverton rallied on the final weekend of the season with championships in baseball and softball to break into a tie for third most with six.

Here's a look at each of the state titles handed out during the spring season, 44 in all, from 1A to 6A. Click on each link for more information:
