MIDVALE — A bicyclist was hit by a vehicle and killed overnight Wednesday in Midvale.

About 12:30 a.m., a vehicle hit a man at 500 W. Wasatch Street, Unified Police Sgt. Melody Cutler said.

The bike and car were both traveling east at the time. Cutler said another vehicle had gone around the cyclist before the second car hit him. It appeared the driver did not see him.

The driver of the car stayed on scene and cooperated with police, Cutler said, adding that the driver did not show any signs of impairment.

The man who died did not have identification on him, and police are working to learn his identity.
