THE FRONT YARD — Love or hate snow, the first snowfall of the year is always a little magical.

It's even more magical when you have a child that feels the wonder of a snowfall for the first time. You bundle them up, take them outside, and they inevitably look up to see what this new experience is really about. Heck, they may even catch a few snowflakes on their tongue.

But humans aren't the only sentient beings that have feelings about snow. Dogs and cats have opinions as well.

If you know a dog that loves snow, you know what pure joy looks like as they zoom around the yard throwing snow into the air with their snouts. If you have a cat that's allowed outdoors, you probably have a picture of two cat paws in the snow right outside your door and no more. Because your cat definitely went back inside when it realized that it was the worst day of its life.

You would think that a bear of any age would feel fairly indifferent about snow. It's just a fact of their life and that's that. But it turns out that at least one bear cub feels a bit different.

In the video, a mama and baby bear are trekking across a front yard with the kind of purpose only bears have. But the snow is falling, and kids will be kids, and baby bear takes a few moments to stray from the path.

It stops, rises on its back feet, and appears to do a little dance in appreciation of the falling snow. It would be easy to believe that the bear cub is actually a child in a costume who broke character because snow is just too fun.

Next time you see a small creature enjoying the snow, you may have trouble identifying what it is. It's a kid! It's a dog! It's a bear cub?
