SALT LAKE CITY — One man was stabbed multiple times and two people were taken into custody Saturday afternoon in Salt Lake City, police say.
The stabbing occurred in the Smith's parking lot at 828 S. 900 West around 2:15 p.m., Salt Lake Police Lt. Andrew Cluff said. First responders were able to find the 45-year-old male victim, who was in critical, unstable condition, and transport him to the hospital where he underwent surgery. His condition has since stabilized.
Police found the suspects, a male and female, both 38, across the street at a 7-Eleven and took them into custody. The cause of the altercation was not immediately known; an investigation into the incident is underway.
