3 critically injured after shooting at Salt Lake park, police say

UPDATE: Salt Lake police reported Monday that a 25-year-old man died from his shooting injuries. He was not identified.


SALT LAKE CITY — Three people were shot and critically injured Sunday at Tanner Park.

The shooting occurred in the area of 2535 Heritage Way, according to Salt Lake police.

Witnesses reported seeing a black SUV drive by as a man inside fired several shots at people inside a car.

The three victims were taken to hospitals.

Police said they are not seeking help from the public locating a suspect. No arrests have been made, although investigators have a potential suspect about whom they would not immediately release details.
