"Critical fire weather conditions are expected," it said.
There are already several wildfires burning in northern Utah, with winds and rain alternately challenging and assisting firefighters working to contain the fires.
The KSL Weather Center anticipates a high chance of rain and thunderstorms across the Wasatch Front for the remainder of the day.
