PARK CITY — The 2020 Sundance Film Festival kicked off Thursday and, once again, Park City is transformed into a mini Hollywood scene.
The annual 10-day festival brings filmmakers, actors and movie buffs to the Beehive State to attend movie premieres and panels. A majority of the film festival takes place in Park City, but Salt Lake City and the Sundance Mountain Resort also host movie screenings each year.
Sundance attracts locals and non-locals, as well as those hoping to run into a celebrity or two.
Pop star Taylor Swift was in town on the festival’s opening day for the premiere of a documentary about her life. Former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton also attended the premiere of the “Hillary” Hulu docuseries. Other big names spotted at Sundance this year include Glenn Close, Kerry Washington, Mila Kunis, Eva Longoria, Issa Rae, Will Ferrell, Anne Hathaway, Alec Baldwin, Toni Collette and Lin-Manuel Miranda, among many others.
The Sundance Film Festival runs through Feb. 2. For a look at the scenes and celebrities from Sundance, browse through our photo gallery below.
