THE OFFICE — I can’t think of anyone who hasn’t felt incredibly awkward at least once when it comes to dating and love.

To me, it is pure fantasy to imagine someone who has been 100 percent confident their whole lives, who never felt like they were talking to someone who was “out of their league,” and who never said or did the wrong thing to a date that made everything uncomfortable for what seemed like an eternity.

If you are living this fantasy, congratulations. Us awkwards will do our best to still think kind thoughts about you, despite our jealousy over how you’ve never felt like a dating doof. We have intimate knowledge of feeling incredibly awkward on the inside. And that’s what “Studio C” is banking on in a new video.

Utah’s favorite skit comedy troupe decided it was a good idea to take those terribly inconvenient I’m-attracted-to-you-now-watch-me-bumble-around-like-an-idiot feelings we get on the inside, and turn them to the outside.

In the video, it’s “love at first sight” in the office, so everyone has a front row seat to the dating disaster. The couple certainly wants to connect with each other, but neither knows what to do with their hands, their words or their bodies. And, of course, it’s the worst.

Frankly, everything in the sketch paints a fairly accurate representation of dating's inner awkward feelings, (including the vomit). Plus, it certainly explains why there are so many books, articles and counselors to try and help us navigate relationships.
