SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Doctors have discovered a bone infection and diabetic ulcers on Utah Jazz owner Larry Miller's foot.

Doctors performed outpatient surgery on Miller on Wednesday.

Miller's wife, Gail, told the Deseret News that he will undergo six weeks of IV and hyperbaric chamber therapy for the conditions.

Miller, 64, had a heart attack this summer. Complications including kidney failure and gastrointestinal bleeding that required blood transfusions followed, keeping him in the hospital for nearly two months.

Utah Jazz spokeswoman Linda Luchetti told The Associated Press Friday that Miller's family considers his health a private matter and isn't communicating with team staff about it.

A few weeks ago Miller was hospitalized for nine days for dialysis to remove excess water weight.

Gail Miller said that her husband's current health problems are all related to diabetes.

Luchetti said Miller was still scheduled to receive an award from the Salt Lake branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People on Friday.

Due to declining health conditions, Miller's son, Greg, was named the CEO of the Larry H. Miller Group over the summer.

The group owns the Jazz, radio and TV stations, restaurants, car dealerships, movie theaters, advertising and finance firms, sports arenas, a race track, a movie production company, ranches, a real estate development company and a minor league baseball team.
