BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A 57-year-old former utility company executive is scheduled for trial Monday on charges he pointed a gun at an Ada County sheriff's deputy in February.
The Idaho Statesman reports (https://goo.gl/blwVmM ) that former CEO of Intermountain Gas, Kenneth Frank Morehouse, is charged with aggravated assault and use of a deadly weapon.
Deputies responded to reports in February that a man was threatening to harm himself at a home.
The Ada County Sheriff's Office says Morehouse had aimed a gun at a deputy, who then shot Morehouse in the shoulder.
Prosecutors say he had been trying to attempt "suicide by cop."
