OGDEN — A gang-related shooting left one man with life-threatening injuries Friday afternoon, according to police.
The 30-year-old man was shot inside a residence near 500 East and 31st Street around 2:40 p.m., Ogden Police Lt. Tim Scott said.
The man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to an area hospital. Police were unsure Friday evening "whether he'll make it or not," Scott said.
Multiple people ran from the site of the shooting and later were apprehended by police, Scott said. The lieutenant was unsure how many were suspects or witnesses, but officers were not looking for anyone else Friday evening.
No names were immediately released.
The victim and the shooter belong to rival gangs, Scott said.
Search warrants were carried out at the residence where the shooting occurred and at the home of the alleged shooter a short distance away, according to Scott.
A homicide task force, major crimes unit and gang unit all were called to the home to investigate the shooting.
