Utah State University's Lindon Greenaltch says his phone is ringing off the hook.
Lindon Greenaltch "Last year I probably had two calls about them, and this year I've probably had twenty calls."
The agriculture and 4-H agency says that voles look similar to mice. They dig underneath and feed on lush, green lawns.
Lindon Greenaltch: "If you have a cat, or you could get one, they certainly like to pounce on little critters like them."
Greenaltch also suggests trimming away weeds and other places where they can hide and breed.
