(KSL News) Harry Potter, Superman and Elmo were among the many people walking the halls of police headquarters today.
The Salt Lake City Police and Fire departments invited the public, costumed or not, to tour the Public Safety Building in search of treats.
They also were invited to take a look at the building itself and make their own judgments about the need for a new $192 million public safety complex as proposed in Proposition 1.
Besides candy, trick-or-treaters were treated to demonstrations by the K-9 unit, motor squad, SWAT team and others.
