SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Four Utah ski resorts remain open, and Snowbird could extend its season beyond Memorial Day if snow continues.

Brian Head and Brighton resorts will close Sunday. Alta Ski Resort also closes Sunday but reopens April 29-May 1.

Snowbird is scheduled to close after Memorial Day weekend. Last year, Snowbird stayed open through Father's Day because of a good base. Jessica Kunzer, Ski Utah's director of communications, says Snowbird currently has a 168-inch mid-mountain base.

Alta has reported 652 inches of snow this season -- well above its 547-inch average. The most snow ever recorded at a Utah resort was 748 inches at Alta during the 1981-1982 season. An additional 6-10 inches are forecast at Alta from Monday's storm, with 2-4 inches expected Monday evening and 1-3 inches on Tuesday.
