Tom Callan, KSL NewsradioThere was a dramatic, life-saving rescue at Washington Terrace. A 9-year-old called 911 and save his mom life.

Nancy Owens choked on candy and collapsed on her son's bed Monday afternoon. Her son Cove called 911, and the operator helped him perform the Heimlich maneuver on mom. Cove says he had to save his mom.

Nancy says Cove is her hero forever and ever. She says, "If he wasn't there, I would be dead now because I was blue by the time they got there."

Where was dad when this was going on? Greg Owens was out jogging. He says, "I was scared; it was scary."

The family says this is a week they will never forget.
