OREM, Utah (AP) -- Utah Valley University is creating a new school for public services.
UVU's School of Public Services will offer bachelor's degrees in criminal justice, forensic science, emergency services administration, emergency management and emergency care.
UVU currently has 2,500 students enrolled in public service programs.
Assistant dean for UVU's College of Technology and Computing Jeff Maxfield says there are very few schools of public services nationwide. He says this is the first such school within the Utah System of Higher Education.
UVU will also offer several associate degrees though the new school.
