(KSL News) Utah State University's rocket team received some rave reviews at a competition hosted by NASA and sponsored by ATK Launch Systems.
The team was part of the University Student Launch Initiative (USLI).
Ten schools from around the country were challenged to design, build and fly a reusable rocket that could go one mile in altitude.
USU won the payload design award and project review, as well as the peer award for Best Team Spirit.
The overall winner will be announced in late May.
The prize is the opportunity to see a space shuttle launch.
