(KSL News) A pastor and teacher accused of sexually abusing a young girl was to stand trial today. However, the trial has been postponed.

Gabriel Carlin, 32, is charged with sexually abusing an 11-year-old girl.

Officials say he gave the girl a ride home early last year, convinced her to let him in her bedroom, then fondled and kissed her.

She told her parents and they called police.

Carlin was a pastor who taught at East Harbor Christian Academy. Police say he may have abused the girl other times at a day care he helped manage.
