SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Three state representatives battling medical problems say they hope to recover enough to work Monday when the 2008 Legislature convenes.
Rep. Mike Noel, a Kanab Republican, has had radiation treatment for prostate cancer for the past two months. He'll continue treatments throughout the session.
Rep. Carl Duckworth, a Democrat from Magna, is fighting multiple myeloma, a cancer of the bone marrow. His doctor says treatment is not simple or easy, and patients may require a bone marrow transplant.
Republican Rep. Bud Bowman of Cedar City is recovering from multiple-bypass heart surgery last month.
