Nicole Gonzales reporting The first day of spring is usually ushered in by more sun than snow, but this morning's gray skies unleashed just enough moisture to be a nuisance in the valley and a skier's blessing in the mountains.

The storm has now cleared up, and it's turned out to be a gorgeous day. Except for some clouds and new snow, you'd never be able to tell a storm rolled through the valley this morning.

A lot of people are definitely ready for the warmth of spring, but we did talk to some folks on the slopes who said they'd take a late-season storm any day.

"We were falling on purpose because the snow is so powdery; and it's just like, it's so funny, you just, like, jump on it. It's like a nice soft pillow for you to lay on," said skier Kelly Eichenhold.

Snowboarder Adam Super said, "I love it. I'm from Pittsburgh, so this is like an extreme powder day for me."

It's a spring break vacation for many skiers and snowboarders. People from Maine, Texas and Pennsylvania were all praising Utah's best snow on earth after this morning's storm dropped fresh powder on the ski resorts.
