Mary Richards reportingPoliticians could delay the Jordan School District split.

Lawmakers from West Jordan and other west-side cities say they are thinking about requesting a special session to delay or even undo the law that allowed smaller school districts.

Rep. Steven Mascaro says there has been too much trouble over splitting the assets and property of the Jordan District.

"There was such a push to move toward splitting the district. None of the good planning and preplanning was done," he said.

They'll meet this morning to talk about it. They still are angry the law did not allow their residents to vote when east-siders voted to create their own school district.
