(KSL News) The rising cost of fuel and food is taking a toll on the lunch line in Provo. Following a recommendation from district nutrition officials, the Provo Board of Education unanimously approved a 25-cent price increase for school breakfasts and lunches.

The increase will go into effect this fall. The highest-priced student lunch will be $2.

Provo is the second school district to raise lunch prices due to food and fuel costs. Ogden approved a similar measure last month.
