Poll: Air conditioning set too hot, too cold or just right?

(KSL News) It's not just gas prices going through the roof. Electric bills are also on the rise.

Seventy percent of power companies in this country rely on coal or natural gas to power their electric grid, and those fuels tend to follow the price of oil, which, as we know, has skyrocketed.

Utility companies say they simply have to pass their costs onto their customers. Tom Kuhn, with Edison Electric Institute, says, "Fuel prices have increased dramatically. Natural gas prices are up more than 100 percent in the last year and 400 percent in the last decade. Coal prices have more than doubled. We're facing increases in fuel prices on all fronts."

Utility companies say the fuel that powers the nation's electric grid is no longer abundant or cheap. To cut back on demand, people have been encouraged to cut back on the A/C at home, but what about at work?
