SALT LAKE CITY — Police are investigating the suspicious death of a woman who was found unresponsive inside a Salt Lake City home Friday morning.
Salt Lake police said officers discovered the woman at 11:03 a.m. after receiving reports of an unresponsive woman inside a home near 100 S. 800 West.
Police and Salt Lake fire officials located the woman and confirmed she was dead.
"Due to the circumstances on scene, the on-duty watch commander requested detectives to respond," Salt Lake police said in a press release.
Crime lab technicians, homicide detectives and the medical examiner's office are collecting evidence and working to figure out the woman's identity, age and cause of death.
Police said based on current information, there is no known danger to the community at this time. Police urge anyone with information to call 801-799-3000 and reference case number 23-86965.
