SARATOGA SPRINGS — Mahogany Street is under an evacuation order after a fire started on Saturday.

The order was issued at 3:52 p.m., after a fire was reported at least 2 miles away from the Saratoga Springs Utah Temple of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The fire is on the north side of Lake Mountain, according to a post on the Saratoga Springs Fire & Rescue Facebook page.

The public is asked to stay out of the area, especially the Mountain View Corridor south of Pony Express Parkway and the Brixton Park neighborhood, as cars coming to look are blocking emergency vehicles. Aircraft are also in the area, and no drones should be flying, a new post made at 4:54 p.m. said.

The fire can be seen on the Utah Department of Transportation cameras positioned at Redwood Road and Parkway Boulevard.
