SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake police on Monday announced they had arrested a 14-year-old boy they were searching for in connection to a deadly shooting that happened Saturday night.

The shooting took place at 8:19 p.m. near 1600 W. Ivy Circle. Police arrived and found a 17-year-old boy with a gunshot wound. The injured teen was taken to a hospital in critical condition and later died of his injuries.

Police asked the public for information that might help locate 14-year-old Kaydyn Christensen, who they said was wanted in connection to the shooting.
